DuPont NOMEX® aramid papers have been in use for more than 25 years in electrical equipment around the world.

NOMEX paper is officially recognized as a 220°C insulating material by Underwriters Laboratories, Inc (UL) and various rating organisations internationally.

Other than polyimide films, NOMEX papers and pressboards are the only sheet materials component recognized by UL as a 220°C materials for electrical and mechanical uses.
