Lignostone is a densified laminated wood. It consists of breech veneers, which are joined together with thermosetting synthetic resins under pressure and heat. Lignostone is characterised by the following properties.

- low specific weight
- withstand high mechanical loading
- low and high-temperature resistance
- resistance to abrasion and wear
